Kisses

To all those who are in a romantic mood on :

Kisses are the messengers of love.
– Danish Proverb

When soul meets soul on lovers’ lips.

A kiss is a secret told to the mouth instead of to the ear.

A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous.

Kissing is a means of getting two people so close together that they can’t see anything wrong with each other.
– Gene Yasenak

Where do the noses go? I always wondered where the noses would go.

That farewell kiss which resembled greeting, that last glance of love which becomes the sharpest pang of sorrow.

Never a lip is curved with pain that can’t be kissed into smiles again.

Kissing power is stronger than will power.
Abigail Van Buren

It was thy kiss, Love, that made me immortal.
– Margaret Witter Fuller

  1. Thanks, Dimitri. A friend of mine told me she was exactly wondering about it when she was 15 – just started to think about kissing… really cute!

  2. Dear Mind Curry,

How sweet of you! The same for you – plenty of roses and love on your valentines and the rest of your life!

Yes, I did get plenty of roses and kisses and it was a very special and romantic Valentine’s Day.

  3. Awesome collection, Helen! My favorite: a secret told to the mouth instead of the ear…

  4. Interesting quotes I must say and if I may add for some of the commercial hindi films of yesteryears

“Miss the kss by a milimeter”

That was the era when the censor board would frown upon even such a natural act as kissing. They don’t know what they were missing.

  5. Hiren,

There is a time for everything,
    a season for every activity
under heaven. A time to be
born and a time to die. A
time to plant and a time to
harvest. A time to kill and
a time to heal. A time to
tear down and a time to
rebuild. A time to cry and
a time to laugh. A time to
grieve and a time to dance.
    A time to scatter stones
and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a
time to turn away. A time to
search and a time to lose.
A time to keep and a time to
throw away. A time to tear
and a time to mend. A time
to be quiet and a time to
speak up. A time to love
and a time to hate. A time
for war and a time for peace.

    May this be
    your time to laugh,
    embrace & receive
    personal peace,
    Dr. Howdy
